Corporate Tax Director

In a nutshell

A fantastic role in our Tax team for an individual with significant compliance and advisory experience. You will help manage and develop our corporate tax team and well-established portfolio of OMB/SME and large corporate clients providing a mix of compliance and advisory services. 

You’ll be part of a collaborative 130 strong multi-discipline tax team who are spread across our nine offices. With support from our 13 experienced Tax Partners, the team do interesting and meaningful work daily.

What you'll be doing day to day

  • Playing a key and leading role in developing and maintaining relationships with our corporate clients
  • Reporting to and assisting the Tax Partners
  • Liaising with the Accounts and Audit Directors/Partners to ensure a comprehensive tax service to clients
  • Managing the Complex Corporate Tax team
  • Providing technical and mentoring support to the junior Tax team members
  • Managing and reviewing complex corporate tax returns
  • Being the point of contact for HMRC, including the CCM where relevant and supporting clients with handling HMRC investigations
  • Remaining technically up to date with all relevant tax matters and able to accurately interpret and apply current tax legislation
  • Managing work-in-progress on all assignments ensuring regular and timely billing and assisting with the prompt collection of debtors
  • Be involved in internal and external presentations
  • Assisting in developing tax technical materials and where relevant, carrying out training on specific corporate tax technical areas

About you

  • Significant experience of tax with a focus on large corporate tax compliance
  • CTA qualified, ACA or ACCA an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to work with people at all levels
  • Self-motivated and able to show initiative
  • Accurate and able to work well under pressure
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Sociable and enjoys being part of a wider team
