Changes in auditing standards, and an ever-evolving audit landscape means the demand for IT assurance and cybersecurity is increasing.

The increase in demand from our client base is driving a need for us to build a stronger team. This exciting growth means we’re now looking for you; a passionate manager who enjoys navigating the dynamic world of IT assurance and cybersecurity, who has a drive to solve complex challenges and ensuring robust risk management.

This rare opportunity gives you the chance to help increase and shape our IT assurance services for our external financial audit clients. You will primarily support and work on IT Assurance engagements and activities including, IT internal and external audit services, IT governance and controls, data analytics and more. There is also the opportunity to work on our cyber due diligence projects and broader our cyber services.

Most projects consist of general IT controls and automated controls testing, information security reviews, and cyber certifications.

Data analytics is becoming important to our Audit & Assurance practice and there will be an opportunity to contribute to the evolution of this service line.

What you'll be doing day to day

  • Take charge of the entire lifecycle of IT assurance projects. This includes planning, scoping, execution, review and completion
  • Leverage your experience to understand IT and financial audit risks and identify relevant controls that address these risks. Your insights will contribute to robust risk management
  • Produce and review scoping documents, working papers, and reports
  • Mentor junior members of the team and provide on-the-job training to help their growth and development
  • Manage and guide the team to successful project completion
  • Ensure that IT Assurance work aligns with client budgets
  • Optimise resource utilisation while maintaining quality
  • Be passionate about elevating the IT Assurance function within our practice
  • Help shape our team into a recognised centre of excellence

About you

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent level of qualification
  • You’ll have experience with auditing standards and understand the intricacies and nuances specific to IT assurance
  • You’ll have experience with reviewing IT assurance working papers relevant to a financial audit
  • Your proven communication skills shine when engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Your grasp of a wide range of IT technologies and strong knowledge of IT control frameworks will set you apart
  • Ability to manage relationships effectively and build lasting partnerships
  • Ability to work autonomously, but also work effectively within a team
  • Ability to identify challenges and propose practical solutions
