What you'll be doing day to day

  • Work within the team to process a wide variety of payrolls for clients
  • Act as a point of contact for a defined portfolio of clients and manage that portfolio effectively
  • Set up of new client payrolls ensuring all data is clean
  • Liaise with new clients to ensure they are happy with the service
  • Keep up to date with new legislation
  • Deal directly with relevant client queries in an efficient and timely manner
  • Liaise with HMRC around employee payments
  • Ensure day to day processing is completed on time
  • Identify issues and escalate to the appropriate person

About you

  • Excellent working knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Experience of managing a defined client portfolio effectively
  • Good working knowledge of Auto Enrolment and GDPR
  • Excellent client service skills, with great attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, assisting others as required
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of clients in a polite and professional manner
  • IT literate and able to use Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Accurate and numerate, with a methodical and organised approach to work
