As a Senior in our Business Advisory team, you’ll take ownership of preparing accounts, tax returns, VAT submissions, and delivering insightful financial information to a wide range of clients. This is a hands-on role that offers real variety, autonomy, and the chance to mentor junior team members while continuing to grow your own expertise.

What you'll be doing day to day

  • Prepare financial information and straight-forward year-end accounts for a wide range of clients, both businesses and individuals
  • Prepare management accounts, forecasts and projections
  • Prepare personal and company tax computations and VAT returns
  • Provide bookkeeping services, including the recording of income and expenditure, matching transactions to bank statements and summarising expenditure types
  • Monitor own performance on jobs against set budgets
  • Gather information to analyse and report on income and expenditure to support decision making, planning and control
  • Liaise with clients and colleagues across different departments in order to influence and achieve an effective outcome
  • Highlight technical or client-specific issues and recommend possible solutions
  • Supervise, support and coach less experienced team members

About you

  • AAT / ACCA / ACA qualified (or equivalent), or part-qualified with relevant experience
  • Accounting experience in a public practice environment
  • Experience in using automated accounting software and computer-based accounts and tax compilation programmes; plus proficient MS Excel, Word and Outlook skills
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for managing your own and other team member workloads
  • Ability to be calm and efficient under pressure, and respond to client enquires promptly, accurately and efficiently
  • Confident, professional and team orientated
