Summer placement  in Truro

In a nutshell: 

You’ll spend six weeks with us over the summer and gain invaluable insight into the world of accountancy and tax. Our programme offers you the chance to work on a variety of client projects, providing a comprehensive understanding of what a career in accountancy and tax entails.

What you'll be doing

One thing we can guarantee is that no two days will be the same. Every client is different, so you’ll be challenged with new opportunities daily. You’ll work across a variety of sectors, experiencing a wide range of high-quality clients, from start-ups, AIM-listed companies, and inspirational not-for-profit organisations. 

You’ll have the opportunity to experience some or all the following departments: audit & assurance, business advisory, professional practices and tax whilst getting involved with the following.

  • Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
  • Auditing financial statements as part of an audit team
  • Preparing analysis of accounting data from clients’ books and records
  • Helping to prepare individual, business and company tax computations and returns
  • Assisting with research of businesses or sectors

Our 6-week summer placements will commence in mid-June.

About you

What we're looking for

Undergraduates in their penultimate year of study who can demonstrate the following:

  • On track to achieve a 2.2 or above in any degree discipline
  • Minimum of 112 UCAS points (obtained from three A Levels or equivalent excluding general studies)
  • Grade 4-9 or C or above in GCSE Maths and English
