Tax Manager

Working in the South West’s leading private client tax department means you’ll work with a variety of clients, amongst sector experts, doing interesting work. You’ll combine your compliance and advisory skills to deliver a first-class service, enhancing the lives of clients and become a trusted advisor.  

As well as working with a diverse range of clients, our tax practice supports colleagues across other teams. This brings extra variety and an added breadth to the role.

What you'll be doing day to day

  • You’ll provide tax advice including IHT planning, and tax advice relating to UK trusts
  • Undertake CGT advice on property, shares etc.
  • Offer compliance services including self-assessment tax returns, CGT 60-day reporting and IHT returns
  • Liaise with other PKF firms throughout the world to meet client requirements
  • Maintain direct contact with clients, HMRC, solicitors, other accountancy, law and professional services firms

About you

  • Experience in providing and delivering tax advice
  • Knowledge of trust and estate taxation and the ability to interpret trust deeds
  • Ability to review and interpret tax legislation and case law
  • Significant experience, ideally with a tax qualification
  • Understanding of compliance standards imposed by the various regulatory authorities for tax
  • Ability to manage WIP and debtors
